All three hospitals are Certified Primary Stroke Facilities. Stroke alerts called via EMS will result in a stroke team activation at each site. In many cases the patient will get taken straight to CT upon entry into the ED. MCHS entrusts EMS to activate stroke alerts from the field. MCE offers comprehensive stroke care including aneurysm clipping and now coiling through a partnership with the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
